First Grade News
First graders are continuing to work hard on the basic skills. They can maintain meaning in longer texts and are enjoying learning about the features of nonfiction. They are writing their own friendly letters and how-to stories that show others how to do something. Students are reviewing the hundred chart with an emphasis on number patterns. Parents, please remember to replenish school supplies (pencils, crayons, and glue sticks) as needed and to send a small healthy snack every day.
